August 10, 1911

Heavy rain has been practically continuous from Saturday night to Tuesday aftrnoon and business has been at a standstill.  The roads are very heavy and in some places under water.

The Jumping Pound creek is out of its banks and higher than it has been since the summer of 1908.

Bright sunny weather is favouring us today and it broke as if we might have a spell of it, which will be a Godsend to this district, especially if we escape frost, a touch of which we had in town this morning.
