The Indian Summer is running ists accustomed course, and we may hope for fine and mild weather for the next three weeks.

Constable Davies and Jim Copithorne made a fresh start on Saturday afternoon, in the hope of getting on the track of the impudent thief or thieves who stole the Copithorne horses, Billy Beynon's wagon and the various accessories, the disappearance of which were noted in our columns last week.  The "Sleuths" had not returned up to the time this note was written.

The peddler of a so called medical work professing to reveal the secret of longevity (for the benefit of the un-initiated we translate that last word as "long life") who got fined all he had - $3.00 - last week in our village, has put up a wail in a Calgary paper on the subject of the hard treatment he received from our local Chief Justice, and threatens to sue the Village Council for damages.
