December 5, 192

Such a lot of histrionic talent was discovered at the Britishers' dinner that J.G. Tweed forwards the suggestion that they should give a concert or two during the coming winter.  Broadminded patriot and imperialist that he is he thinks the proceeds should go towards the purchase of a Dreadnought or a torpedo flotilla to be stationed on the Bow.

The ladies of the Cochrane district are invited to a meeting to be held at the club room on Sat. Dec. 7, at 8 p.m., to arrange for the formatoin of a branch of the Women's Institute of Alberta.

The hockey enthusiasts are determined to push the game for all it is worth.  Last Thursday, J. Campbell and Bert Johnson attended the hockey league convention at Canmore, and they were instrumental in getting Cochrane in the Rocky Mountain league, which will also include Bankhead, Banff and Canmore.  The schedule has not been drawn up, but each team will play two matches.
