January 25, 1912

"What changeable weather," said a lady.  "We malign the country when it is cold, and we say we will go to Australia, but as soon as a nice day comes along we praise the climate.  We are like a woman with a drunken husband.  She forgets his faults as soon as he is sober".  This seems to prove that although a good memory may be valuable, a good "forgetory," if we may coin that expression, is equally necessary to our happiness.

Enthused by the beautiful weather we have been enjoying our hearts go out in sympathy to those not fortunate enough to have homes in Cochrane.
